Definition. It is the Arab International Company for Education Development (non-profit), referred to in this system as "the Company", concerned with developing and ensuring the quality of higher education, and enjoys a legal personality, administrative and financial independence, and exercises the powers and tasks set forth in this system, and the decisions issued pursuant to it. Vision. To be an internationally distinguished company, and globally recognized in the fields of developing and ensuring the quality of higher education. Mission: To support and encourage the quality of higher education institutions and their academic programs, and post-secondary training institutions, and to evaluate and provide support to them, in order to gain the confidence of the local community in the country concerned and the world in the outputs of those institutions. Values: Excellence: Working to achieve the highest possible level of quality and excellence in training work and activities, to achieve excellence in higher education institutions and their academic programs, and post-secondary training institutions, and attracting experienced people concerned with post-secondary education affairs worldwide to manage quality assurance and academic accreditation processes. Independence: Ensuring that we work with complete independence in the processes of developing and managing quality systems and providing consultations. Transparency: Making all regulations, policies, standards, procedures and decisions available to beneficiaries, and that they are also available for examination and audit. Neutrality: Commitment to justice, neutrality and equality in all dealings and avoiding any type of conflict of interest. Integrity: Commitment to ethics in dealings and decision-making. The company is subject to the Companies Law of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Non-Profit Companies System, No. 22 of 1997 - Paragraph (d), or its amendments. Accordingly: The company shall submit to the General Controller of Companies within the first three months of the beginning of the fiscal year the following: An annual report, including its work, the activities it has carried out, and its sources of funding, attached to it its budget certified by the company's authorized signatories, its auditor, and any other information that the General Controller of Companies may request to be submitted. The company's business plan, activities, and projects expected to be implemented during the year, and a detailed statement of the funding for those activities and projects. B - The company shall maintain its correspondence on a regular basis, and special records in which it records the proceedings of its meetings, decisions, and accounts of its revenues, expenses, all its assets, and the activities it has carried out. Scientific and standard reference. In exercising its powers and duties, the company shall rely, in particular, on the following: 1- The principles and standards governing quality assurance in higher education institutions. 2- Taking into account the diversity of systems, programs, and higher education institutions. 3- Respecting the independence of higher education institutions, and maintaining the confidentiality of information and correspondence exchanged with them. 4- Commitment to integrity, neutrality, transparency, and objectivity in providing quality assurance services, and evaluating and developing higher education institutions. 5- Commitment to responding to inquiries from the concerned higher education institutions regarding the decisions and recommendations taken by the company towards them. Mission, vision, and values. The Board of Directors sets the company's mission, vision, and values on which it is based, and they are approved by the General Assembly. The Board of Directors reviews the company's mission and vision periodically according to a timetable determined for this purpose. Strategic plan. The Board of Directors sets the company's strategic plan; in a manner that does not conflict with the framework licensed to it, and it is approved by the General Assembly. The company undertakes responsibilities and tasks that lead to quality assurance, institutional and academic development in higher education, and carries out the work and activities leading to this in the institutions of this education, in their programs and activities. In doing so, it relies on a system for ensuring quality, which includes policies, standards, indicators and procedures that it sets for this purpose, and includes the following objectives: Disseminating and promoting the culture and concepts of quality in higher education institutions. Creating a link and cooperation with regional and international centers and bodies in the field of quality assurance systems and developing higher education institutions. Developing the institutional and human capacities of higher education institutions and qualifying them in a way that allows for ensuring quality and excellence in the fields of education, scientific research, community service and sustainable development. Supporting higher education institutions in developing their leadership, strategic plans and their ability to manage change through modern governance and management systems. Qualifying higher education institutions to develop advanced systems and methods. To ensure quality and assist them in obtaining institutional accreditation, local and international academic accreditation. Exchange education quality expertise in academic, technical, professional programs, scientific research, and management of educational institutions with national, regional, and international evaluation, quality assurance, and accreditation bodies. Build integrated systems to ensure quality, including policies, standards, indicators, procedures, and guidelines for institutions to implement these systems, to evaluate and develop higher education institutions and their programs. Conduct scientific studies and research, prepare plans, formulate strategies, and draw up policies that will contribute to the development of the higher education system and means of achieving goals. Hold scientific meetings, discussion groups, workshops, and specialized training programs in the fields of quality and development of higher education institutions. Create a specialized website for the company on the Internet; concerned with publishing information, exchanging opinions among specialists, and documenting, publishing, and distributing the results of studies and recommendations. Providing expertise, advice, training of staff, and capacity building in the field of quality assurance and accreditation in higher education. Encouraging competition between higher education institutions to improve the quality of education and the level of performance. Benefiting from the expertise of existing research centers in the world. Cooperating with Arab, regional, and international institutions and organizations related to the company’s tasks and goals, enhancing the role of universities in leadership and innovation. Contributing to supporting the efforts of higher education institutions in improving productivity and enhancing the fourth dimension of these institutions. Training human cadres in higher education institutions in academic, research, technical, and administrative fields. Developing plans, curricula in higher education institutions, and teaching and learning methods. Enhancing the university environment and adapting it to the knowledge climate of the third millennium, credit hour systems, academic guidance, and improving the level of services provided to students. Building partnerships and concluding agreements related to its activities, especially with similar bodies and with quality assurance networks in higher education.
